Agra-Gold Consulting Ltd is an independent company started in 2007, providing agronomic services specializing in livestock nutrient management planning throughout Manitoba and into Saskatchewan. We use innovative methods for nutrient applications that enhance environmental sustainability. We are known for our quality service that is proactive, detailed, credible, honest and transparent. In addition to our agronomic consulting, we have the expertise and technical abilities to do extensive soil sampling, site assessments and monitoring well sampling.
Scott Dick comes from Linden, Manitoba, a town 20 minutes southeast of Winnipeg. Scott was a Manager in the environmental department of Elite Swine from 2001 to 2007. Scott serves on the Board of Directors of the MLMMI which is a research funding board that looks at new and innovative ways to tackle environmental issues facing livestock producers.
Cliff Loewen comes from Blumenort, Manitoba, a town 5 minutes north of Steinbach. Cliff began his career in nutrient and manure management co-ordination with Elite Swine in 1998 and continued in that department till 2007.
In 2007, Scott and Cliff started Agra-Gold Consulting Ltd.
Chris Loewen, the son of Cliff Loewen, comes from Blumenort, Manitoba. Chris graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Diploma in Agriculture in the Spring of 2010. Since Agra-Gold Consulting became a company in 2007, Chris did some soil sampling on the side for the company. Then in 2013, he began his career with Agra-Gold Consulting as an Environmental Technician. Now he is in charge of the majority of the Soil Sampling, Water Monitoring, and is currently working on his Manure Management Planners certification as well as his C.C.A. accreditation.
Scott Routledge is a beef and grain producer in the Hamiota area, who started working for Agra-Gold Consulting as the Westman Contract in 2007. He helps with nutrient management as well as the Soil Sampling for the producers in Western Manitoba.
Gary Plohman comes from Beausejour Manitoba. Gary spent over 25 years with Manitoba Agriculture as a livestock engineer. One of Gary's roles with the province was the chairman of the Technical Review Committee for new livestock operations. Gary has also worked for the Maple Leaf Foods as the Manager of the Environmental Department of Elite Swine Inc. designing many Earthen Manure Storages as an engineer. Gary also continues to serve on the Board of Directors as Vice-Chair with the Manitoba Livestock Manure Management Initiative. (MLMMI) Gary's role in Agra-Gold is to work in the Interlake region.
